I work in an international team of specialists developing human-like dialogue systems for various platforms, such as desktop, mobile and other devices. As well as the development side of things, I am also involved in the sales process for the company, which requires an understanding of the customers' requirements and concerns as well as an inside knowledge of the company's products.

I worked in a small team of computational linguists on the architecture of software solutions for text processing. We designed applications for monitoring the internet and extracting information and semantics from German and English text, collaborating with developers who are able to produce viable software which can be marketed to corporate customers.

I organised a research project investigating the response of the human brain to mobile phone ringtones and how this is affected by familiarity with sounds. Participants were scanned in MRI machines while performing certain tasks, and we analysed the 3D brain images using statistical methods. The results are currently awaiting publication in a neuroscience journal. I also worked as a teaching assistant on the Statistics and Research Methods course at the College.
