Dr. Luca Parolini

In GE Global Research I have been working on projects related with formal verification methods, nonlinear estimation, smart-grid, and security of control systems.

I joined M31 few weeks after it was created. In M31, I worked on different projects related with surveillance and detection of retina diseases. Most of my work dealt with the development of software libraries in Qt.

During my work at the university of Padua, I started implementing a robust version of the algorithms proposed in my master thesis for the localization of mobile nodes in a wireless sensor network. Most of the work was done in C and C++.

Analysis and control of data centers for energy efficiency. The goal was the development of a unified, thermal-computational control scheme that implemented the most appropriate trade-off between minimizing the cost of power consumption and satisfying complex workload demands.

Dissertation titled: "Metodi di Localizzazione per Reti di Sensori Wireless (Localization Methods for Wireless Sensor Networks)".
