This position provides regional oversight across multi-billion dollars of both direct and indirect spend, e.g. Raw Materials, Corporate Services, Packaging, Logistics, External Manufacturing, and Capital/MRO purchasing.

Reporting to the Global Purchasing Director of Raw Materials (8 Bn$ portfolio). Global staff team member, with goals linked to corporate EBIT targets. • Managing six Sourcing Managers located in the USA, Europe, China and India. • Managing four Supplier Development Managers located in China, India. Middle East and Russia.

• Successfully grown a European trading desk with over 50+ MM$/year of buy, sell and swap activities by Leveraging the Global Trading experience and best practice from US-colleagues. • Served on multi-functional Buinsess management teams (commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, Finance, R&D) dedicated to cost optimization and enhanced business unit performance

Reporting to the European Commercial Director within the 1.5 Bn$ Epoxy Products business unit, this job included both interfacing with corporate eBusiness initiatives, e.g. Elemica.com, ChemConnect.com, and the creation of an entirely new business model that utilized the internet as a differentiated B-2-B channel to market.

Introduction and commercialization of a epoxy-based thermoplastic resin called BLOX™. The product offered a unique performance and price balance for adhesive and barrier packaging applications. • Directed all aspects of the 4-P’s for the European launch and market development of this value added product. • Key account management with global leaders in packaging industry, e.g. TetraPak, Amcor, Rexham, etc.).

• Akzo is a global leader in the marine, packaging, powder and industrial coating business. • Gained hands-on experience with the research, development, production and application of solvent bourne acrylics, polyester powders and several water-based resin technologies. • Leveraged the application of surface modifier/adhesion resin to the application in carbon fiber coatings. • Attended and successfully completed, several technical and business introduction training modules.

European Technical Service for the electrical and electronics industry – dedicated to customers (such as Nelco, Isola, Panasonic) in the Printed Circuit Board, Photo-imageable coatings and Conductive adhesive markets. • Led and advised on product innovation and supervising resources/teams in Germany, Japan and USA. • Developed and patented high margin new products. Technically served customers across the European region. • Scaled-up and commercialised a highly-purified epoxy for use in adhesives
