Part of the team responsible for the shaft and bearings analysis modules. Responsible for the integration of FEM analysis in KISSsoft calculations, either through interfaces to FEM programs, or via the use of the FEM package code_aster. In charge of the dynamic analysis modules for shafts and shaft systems.

Mathematical modeling, custom software development, design and analysis of machines, troubleshooting and fault identification, R&D consulting and in-house training. Projects include the design of a prototype medium voltage circuit-breaker switchgear (both sheet metal and mechanisms design), FEM studies of various components mainly in the automotive sector and the development of a probabilistic analysis computer program (up to commercialization stage).

Working on optimization of current products and development of new ones. Very close cooperation (through teleconferencing and frequent trips) with the design, production and long term planning departments of the company in Japan. The projects involve both basic and applied research work. The areas of research include mainly tribology, static, dynamic and thermal analysis of structures, finite element analysis, development of mathematical simulation models and computer programs’ development.

Research assistant in the laboratory of machine elements and dynamics of the Mechanical Design and Control Systems Section. Work included the design, installation and operation of an experimental test bed that is used to examine the environmental parameters affecting the wear of rotating metallic components.

Working in research programs funded by the European Union (5th and 6th Research Framework Programs). Responsibilities included project and financial management for several projects. Project management demanded continuous cooperation with partners all around Europe and visits to their premises.
